VSU-AMA is a student-run organization led by an executive board of student leaders. Members wishing to hold office must apply and be approved by the faculty advisor. All officers, except the president, serve for one academic year and elections are held after the midterm of the spring semester. The president serves as vice-president/president-elect for a year before serving as president. Members may hold multiple offices. All officers must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.

President

The President's duties shall be to preside at all meetings, appoint all special committees, and be the chairperson of the board of directors. The President shall also receive and share information from special chapter leader communications from AMA International Headquarters. As the chief executive officer of the VSU-AMA, the President provides leadership and overall direction. Working with the faculty advisor, they perform all duties required by the AMA constitution and bylaws.
Requirements: 2.5 GPA; cannot be president or VP of any other campus organization; automatically promoted from Executive VP.

Executive Vice President

The Executive Vice President/President-Elect shall perform the duties of the President in the President's absence. In the event of a vacancy for the presidency, the Executive Vice President shall succeed to the presidency. This is a two-year term—the Executive VP automatically becomes the president the following year upon approval of the faculty advisor. Executive VP coordinates each committee towards a collective effort assists the President in directing the collegiate chapter and is responsible for leading the development of and filing of the Chapter Plan and Annual Report.
Requirements: 2.5 GPA; at least 2 years remaining at VSU

VP of Membership

The Vice President of Membership is primarily responsible for membership recruiting and engagement. They shall maintain an accurate chapter roster and membership records. In accordance with the chapter's determined goals, they shall conduct an active and aggressive membership campaign and develop the appropriate recruitment materials. The vice president of membership should remind members to renew AMA national membership in the month of their membership expiration. The primary responsibility for growth rests with the vice president of membership and their membership committee.

VP of Advertising and Promotion

The Vice President of Advertising and Promotion is primarily responsible for promoting the events and affairs of the VSU-AMA to LCOBA, the University, the local AMA professional chapter, and the local community. They are responsible for coordinating and distributing flyers/posters, press releases, announcements, marketing material, etc.

VP of Community Service and Social Impact

The Vice President of Community Service and Social Impact spearheads and coordinates community service and social impact efforts of VSU-AMA. The vice president of communications shall keep all records, except financial, handle written correspondence, perform such other related duties as the president delegates, and prepare a written report of each meeting which will be read at the next meeting.

VP of Programs

The Vice President of Programs has the responsibility of developing, recommending, and implementing programs for the collegiate chapter. Additional chairpersons may be appointed by the President to handle special programs such as projects and seminars.

VP of Communications

The Vice President of Communications shall keep all records (except financial), handle written correspondence, perform such other related duties as the President delegates, and prepare a written report of each meeting which will be read at the next meeting.

Project Manager

Project managers have the responsibility of the planning, procurement, and execution of a VSU-AMA project or event. Project managers are the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising from among VSU-AMA or committee members. They strive to maintain the progress, mutual interaction, and tasks of various VSU-AMA officers, committees, and members.
